I’ve finally become serious about getting back into shape, preferably more rectangular than roundish.
I quit the ole soda pop when I was in my thirties. Quitting smoking was comparatively easier. I always moved a lot and guilted myself to eat well 80% of the time. But as I approached the over the hill birthday, my knees ached and my arms started those inevitable old lady flaps, I knew the time had come. The 30# was the best indicator Either do now or suffer more as time wore on. And buy even bigger pants.
Yoga was first. It’s easy to find videos on Youtube and XHIT. Of course there are books and classes, but I’m luck to find 30 uninterrupted minutes in a day. Any day. I’ve been working for nearly 35 years, the last 11 self employed working 10 to 14 hour days, 7 days a week, 365 out of the year. Yes, ALL of it. Every weekend, night, holiday, birthday, wedding, showers, sickness and the list goes on. Farm life isn’t for everyone.
